Weddings
For weddings, Malerie will discuss possibilities of music for the ceremony with the bride and groom.
This typically includes prelude music, the processional for the wedding party, the processional for the bride, the recessional music, and postlude.
In addition to the ceremony, harp music is appropriate for luncheons, cocktail hours, and receptions.
Malerie will play a collection of songs as background music to set a beautiful tone for these events.
Musical styles can be adjusted to the desires of the wedding couple. Every wedding is a beautiful occasion;
harp music brings an elegance and splendor that will add to your special day.
Please look at the suggestions on the Music page for traditional processionals and recessionals for a wedding ceremony.
Prelude Music is generally 15-30 minutes of background music before the start of the ceremony while guests are arriving and being seated. The bridal couple can decide which blend of music is appropriate for their tastes.
The processional is the music that will accompany the bridal party, such as the bridesmaids and groomsmen, down the aisle.
The Bridal processional is the song that the bride will walk down the aisle to. Some brides wish to only have one processional for both the bridal party and the bride.
The recessional music is the song choice for the couple to walk back up the aisle as a newly married couple.
Postlude is background music and is played long enough to let the guests linger and move on to the reception.
